A ridge of high pressure is extending from the northeast toward the Adriatic, while a low over the Ionian Sea is deepening.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE, in the open sea NW wind, strengthening to 16-34, in the North Adriatic up to 40, in the Velebit Channel up to 55 knots. Sea increasing to 4-5, in the open possibly up to 6. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain in the South Adriatic and in the open, and with a risk of snow along the coast, mainly in the Velebit Channel and in the area of Rijeka.

Prevalentemente nuvoloso con locali piogge sull?Adriatico meridionale ed al largo, e con il rischio di neve localmente lungo la costa, prevalentemente nel Canale di Velebit e nella zona di Rijeka.
